Makom Connect was born from a deep love for our Jewish heritage and a passion for building technology that genuinely improves people's lives.
Why we built this
We grew up in synagogues, day schools, and Jewish community centers. We watched the dedicated staff who run these institutions work tirelessly — often with tools that were never designed for the richness of Jewish communal life. Spreadsheets for yahrzeits. Generic CRMs that don't understand what a bar mitzvah is. Event platforms that can't track kosher catering requirements.
We knew there had to be a better way. So we brought together everything we'd learned from years of building useful, engaging consumer technologies — the kind of products people genuinely love to use — and channeled it into a platform designed specifically for the Jewish community. Not as an afterthought. Not as a template. But from the ground up.
